Selma E Joyce, 91 of Parks Township, Armstrong County, formerly of Carrick, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in Pine View Personal Care Home, Parks Township, Armstrong County, PA.

Born , August 16, 1921 in Pittsburgh to the late Al and Anna (Dreistadt) Meiers, Selma was raised in Carrick and later moved to Melbourne Beach, Florida and lived there for many years.

Selma was a homemaker and was a self-employed photographer and worked as a waitress part-time. She was a member of St. Basil Catholic Church, Carrick and was a graduate of Carrick High School. Selma enjoyed playing bingo, reading, gardening, and various types of crafts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence H. Joyce-July 5, 2010; son, Martin W. Joyce-July 27, 2010; brothers, Ralph, Charles, Norman, William, and Albert Meiers.

Selma is survived by her son, Rick J. (Nancy) Joyce of Parks Township; four grandchildren, Sean and Jack Joyce of San Diego, CA, Brian Breinig of Baltimore, Maryland, and Rebecca Gallagher of Pensacola, FL; two great granddaughters, Lily and Madison Hope Gallagher and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. Burial will be in St. John Vianney Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
