Richard J. Joyce, 77STONEHAM, Richard J. Joyce, 77, of Stoneham, died peacefully at his nephew’s home in Peabody, while in the comforting presence of his family.Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Ellen (Brien) Joyce. He grew up in Saugus and graduated from Saugus High School, Class of 1956.

Mr. Joyce entered the United States Marine Corps then went into the U.S. Air Force for his service during the Vietnam War.
He worked with the Miter Corporation in Bedford before retiring.

Richard enjoyed cooking and experimenting with different foods. He was a gifted piano player, an avid golfer, and attended Bingo nights.
He is survived by a sister Gail Kenney of Lynnfield and a brother Robert Joyce of Chelsea, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Joyce.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Sunday from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, then for his Funeral Service in the funeral home on Monday August 18, 2014 at 9:30 AM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody
