Joyce-Flaherty.

Members of the Children of Mary Sodality formed a guard of honour for the bridal party at the Church of Our Lady of  Dolours, Mitchelton, on September 2, when Rev. Father Carmichael solemnised the marriage of Mr. Peter V. Joyce, Windsor, and MissMary Ellen Flaherty, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Flaherty, Gaythorne.

The bride, who was given away byher father, wore a gown of whitesatin; her tulle veil, which wasarranged with orange blossom, hadbeen lent by the Sisters of the GoodSamaritan.

Miss Mary O’Leary, who was brides-maid, wore a frock of pale blue crepe de Chine relieved with coffee lace on the cape collar and a white crinoline hat.

Mr. J. Flaherty was best man.

Miss Loughnan played the weddingmarch, and during the signing of theregister Mrs. S. Creedy sang an AveMaria.

Mrs. T. Flaherty, who with Mr.Flaherty received the guests at thewedding reception, wore a frock ofroyal blue elephant crepe allied witha contrasting tone of blue and a hatof mastic straw. Mrs. Joyce (motherof the bridegroom) was frocked inblack crepe de Chine and a hat to harmonise. Musical items were givenduring the reception by Mrs. Creedy,Messrs. R. Sheppard, L. and T.Flaherty.

Leaving for her home at Kedron,Mrs. P. V. Joyce wore a frock of blacksatin relieved with tartan, a black furcoat, and a hat of grey stitched felt.
