I BRISBANE, Sunday. – A wedding which united two well-known country families in Queensland took place In All Saints’ Church of England, Wickham terrace, Brisbane, on Saturday afternoon.

The parties were Miss Noemi Joyce, second  daughter of the late Mr Fitzpierce Joyce and Mrs Joyce, of Eidsvold Station, Eidsvold, and John Edward Coates, only son of the late Mr. Treherne Coates and ofMrs Coates, of Harveston, Rockhampton

The church was beautifully decorated withmasses of arum lilies, stocks, and azaleas,many of which came from CoochinCoochin Station. They were arranged byMisses Ismay Joyce, Doris Coates, andEnid Bell (Coochin Coochin). BishopDixon officiated at the ceremony. Thebride was given away by her brother, MrErrol B Jovce. She wore a gown of whitesuede de chine and a hat of white bamboostraw. She carried a bouquet of creamstocks, frcezias, and naicissi. Her two

sisters, Misses Minette and Elaine Joyce,  attended her Messrs Terrance Archerand John Palmer, both of Rockhampton,were best man and groomsman respec-tively. After the ceremony a receptionwas held at Howe’s Banquet Hall, whereMrs. Joyce received the guests.
