Joyce, Joseph J. 88, of Bloomington, formerly of Minneapolis. Preceded in death by wife Nancy and sister Ruth Young. Survived by daughters, Sue Seifert (Tom), Sally Duran (John), Anne Joyce, and Lisa Suhany (Mark); sons, John Joyce (Cindy) and Mark Joyce; grandchildren, Barbara (Dan), Patty (Matt), Christina (Dave), Joe, Andrea, Maddy (Joe), Beck, Courtney, Kevin and Alexandra; great-grandchildren, Gage and Sydney; sisters-in-law, Mary Helen Hayes and Jean Hayes; brother-in- law, John Hayes; his dear nieces and nephews; loved ones and friends; special friend, Dolores Williams. Born in St Paul, a graduate of The University of St. Thomas, decorated Captain in the 9th Infantry during WWII, served again during the Korean Conflict, recently granted dual Irish Citizenship. A career in the insurance industry with over 30 years at American Hardware Mutual brought great satisfaction and many relationships and memories. Joe was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed his traditions. He loved being with his family, his friends, skiing, boating on the river and his time at Bay Lake and Christmas Lake. A member of many civic and charitable organizations, he loved to help others and always wanted to be “part of the action”. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 11 AM at The Church of St. Edward, 9401 Nesbitt Ave S., with visitation one hour prior at church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Shorewood, MN.
