The graveside funeral services for James Perry Joyce 61, of Route 1, Warner Robins, who died last Friday night after his car was struck by a train at the North Davis Drive crossing, were held Sunday in the BERTHA DOZIER MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY in Montezuma. The Rev. A. H. Griffin officiated.
Mr. Joyce was a native of Atlanta and had moved to Warner Robins three years ago from Montezuma.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Myrtice Hamm Joyce of Warner Robins; one daughter, Mrs. David Armstrong of Atlanta; and two grandsons.
Christopher Funeral Home of Warner Robins was in charge of funeral arrangements.
[Note: I do NOT find a marked grave in “Cemeteries of Macon County” for James Perry Joyce, HOWEVER, I do find his wife, Myrtice Ham Joyce [May 30, 1909 – June 5, 1989] buried there. Apparently, his grave is UNMARKED or overlooked in the cemetery survey.
