Harold Keith Joyce 1944 – 2005

Harold Keith Joyce, 61, passed away suddenly Sept. 16, 2005. He was born on March 16, 1944 in Vernon to Harold Dean and Grace Joyce. He was raised in Ralls and graduated from Ralls High School in 1962. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy & Food Technology and a minor in Food Chemistry.

He served in the First Air Calvary for the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Keith worked until retirement in sales for the food industry. He was united in marriage for 42 years to Charlotte Deering Joyce.

He is survived by his wife; his son, Bryan Keith Joyce and wife Kristin; his daughter, Lisa Joyce Bates and husband Sherwin; two grandchildren, Sydney and Keegan Joyce; his mother, Grace Joyce and his brother, Glenn Joyce, both of Lubbock; his sister, Susan Ireland and husband Steve of Crosbyton; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Dean Joyce.

Funeral services will be held at noon Monday at Klein Funeral Chapel, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, TX 77379.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Cope, Doug Curry, Jason Deering, Brendan Farrell, John Farrell, Shannon Farquhar, Mike McDonell, Sonny Mendiola, and Troy Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Box, John Cantrell, Ralph Curry, Mike Littlefield, Andy Payne, Royce Sharp, and Clarence Turner.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Lighthouse of Houston, 3602 West Dallas, Houston, Texas 77019, or Concordia Lutheran School, 16801 Huebner, San Antonio, Texas 78258.
