Guide to DNA Testing: How to Identify Ancestors, Confirm Relationships, and Measure Ethnic Ancestry through DNA Testing by Richard Hill

From Richard Hill of the International Society of Genetic Genealogists –

My Guide to DNA Testing is now FREE for five days. We all want more good DNA matches. But many people find our hobby too confusing. One way to overcome that is to educate people about the benefits of genetic genealogy and steer them toward the right tests for their situation. My new Kindle Short Book does that quickly and efficiently. This book will be FREE for the next five days at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O5SCY02.

The book is deliberately short to get newbies up to speed quickly. It’s not intended for the advanced users in this group. Yet you surely have friends, relatives and others that need some motivation and basic knowledge to get started. Please copy this link and share it widely. Also download the book yourself even if you don’t need it. That will help the sales ranking on Amazon and draw more readers to the book. Thank you!

    HI Mae
This post was about an offer for a free book on DNA testing not for free DNA tests. None of the major companies offer free tests to the best of my knowledge, although some of the Projects do offer subsidised tests in some cases. These Projects are based on surnames, geographic regions of origin and particular genetic markers (called Haplogroups).

In the case of the Joyce DNA Project we do offer subsidies for male Joyces to test their Y DNA from time to time. This is made possible by the generous donations of existing Project members for the purpose of expanding our knowledge of Joyce DNA history.

If you email me at laurie@tribejoyce.com I’ll send you some information on how to upload a profile pic to this website.

    Cheers
    Laurie
