A well known and respected resident in the person of Miss Catherine Joyce passed away in the Mount Gambier Hospital on Thursday last, after an illness of some 12 months. Miss Joyce,  who was a daughter of the late Mr.and Mrs. Patrick Joyce, was born at Willunga 77 years ago, and she came to Mount Gambier with her parents when she was a child three years of age. Her parents first lived at Tarpeena, after which they went to Allandale, finally settling down at Sutton-town, where Miss Joyce lived until about a year ago. Then her health forced her to come into town to live. She leaves one sister, Mrs. George Tyler, of Adelaide. Her funeral, which was largely attended, took place this morning. The Rev. Dean Davis conducted the funeral service, and Mr. E.

E. James carried out the mortuary arrangements.
